Can you please tell me as much as you can about Chihuahuas? I'm getting one for Christmas, but I've never had a puppy. Thanks for all the info! ^_^

Well, that all depends on what you need to know.

Chihuahuas qualify in the toy group and they are the smallest domestic dog in the world. They have high energy levels, so they need to have daily excersise. They are quite easy to train and they're usually friendly with other pets. Although, they are not THAT friendly towards strangers. They're not very good in the cold, but they handle the heat well. They also don't need too much grooming. They normally live about 14-18 years.

Two products in the chocolate called caffeine and theombromine act as toxins to your dog's nervous system. While a chocolate chip cookie shouldn't bother him/her too much(though I don't advise giving one to them), too much can increase their heart rate and even spread throughout their body, causing vomitting and diarrhea. If too much toxins get into the body, they can eventually die unless most of the chocolate is out of their body.

I've always wanted a beagle. =P You're lucky.

Group: Hound
Beagles have a manageable amount of energy. They enjoy the occasional tennis ball throw, but they don't play baseball. =P They love to give you licks and steps on your toes, so you'd better treat them lovingly. They're very affectionate towards almost anyone; strangers, other dogs, other pets, but they have a good watchdog ability. They can tolerate heat and cold pretty well, and they need little grooming. They live about 12-15 years. They're very playful, so pay attention to how you train them. Those are the pros. The cons of having a beagle is they're usually hard to train and they can provide you little protection.

Have fun with your beagle!

Yes, as a matter of fact, I have. Why does my dog eat grass?

Actually, that's a normal part of their diet, as long as they chew it. It helps with digesting their food, especially if they didn't chew THAT. They also just like it. To them, grass is actually very tasty, as long as it hasn't been covered with their business. =P
