I have asked and asked my mom. But my kitty and my grandmothers kitty (Simba's sissy), were both declawed we fine in a week.
I have HUGE gash in my leg from little miss ebony so I am sorta wanting her declawed. (Owie!) So yeah. I even told her about these little claw cover thingies but she didn't want them. She just wants her declawed. =(

You need a spray bottle then.XD  She's just a kitten. She'll learn not to claw, especialy with that toy. You can always just often TRIM her claws. =/

my grandma got her cats declawed, its not that bad, they dont really care. in a way, it makes it safer for them, because they won't get their claws hurt or snagged on things, and you wont have to buy snag-proof nylon products.
@ winky: I've lived with cats ALL my life, havent gone a day without 'em. they learn a little but not very much. they still scratch. and when you get them declawed you only get the back ones off so they're not completely helpless in dangerous situations

Very cute, Labby. =) don't worry about the de-clawing, you're actually lucky that you don't have to worry about cuts and scratches ;)

Thanks WMP! We usually just get the front off. Not all. I would hate doing that.
My hand looks like I'm emo from all the scratches from the kitteh. (XDDDD)

I might take a video later.
(Took video of Simba being REALLY stupid XCD)

I personally don't believe in de-clawing.
Why?
Because what happens if a cat needs to defend itself if it ever gets outside?
Canttttt exactly do karate...
Yeah, it can bite, but that's about it.

And WMP, I believe you can choose - you can get the back and front, just front, just back.

That's what we did with my kitty. We just got her front declawed, because she wouldn't go anywhere near her scratching post, but she had a huge hole on the side of the couch. She stays inside 24/7. The few times she did go outside, it was because we were bringing groceries in from the car and the door was left open, but since we were going in and out, we noticed right away, and she was too curious to go that far anyway; she was just a few feet past the door, sniffing the porch.
