Chapter 1
  "Perfect," Jessica sighed, brushing her golden locks one last time. She reached into her vanity and pulled out a small, purple, bulging bag. She opened it and began applying her make-up.
  "Hello! Are you there Jessica?" Jessica's best friends, Makenzie, called
  "I'm in my room," Jessica replied, "I'll be down in a sec." She grabbed her purse and headed to the foyer.
  Makenzie and Jessica followed the sidewalk to the driveway and stepped inside the limo. Emily and Sarah were already inside. Makenzie and Emily immediately started a conversation about last night's soccer game and Jessica and Sarah chatted about fashion.
  "We're here girls," Marc, the driver, said. He got out of the car and opened the door. They climbed out and headed for the mall entrance. "I'll be back at 4:00," Marc shouted.
  "Got it," Makenzie called over her shoulder.

Chapter 2
  Jessica, Makenzie, Emily, and Sarah were in the limo again, but this time they were headed to school. Of course, they bought the most expensive stylish clothes for their first day back.
  Makenzie was wearing khaki bermuda shorts, a red shirt with an orange Hollister logo on it, a denim blazer, and low-top, laceless chucks. She put hot rollers in her hair that morning and her curly brown hair was pulled into a low side ponytail. She was discussing David Beckham, a British soccer player coming to play in the American pro league, with Emily.
  Emily was wearing green, purple, and blue plaid shorts with the bottoms rolled up and buttoned on the side. She was also wearing a white polo with a purple cami underneath. The purple in her cami was exactly the same shade as her purple flip-flops, which she bought specially for her outfit. Emily was starting off the year with her signature messy bun. On the opposite side of the limo, Jessica and Sarah leafed through a Seventeen magazine.
  Jessica had on a denim mini skirt, frayed at the bottom, paired witrh a three-quarter sleeve pink and white striped shirt. She, too, wore flip-flops, but her's were pink. She got a new straightener, and her long dirt blonde hair was perfectly straight. She had a thick pink headband placed right behind her sideswept bangs and her hair had an extreme side part.
  Sarah had ripped capris on with a green shirt on that brought out the green in her blue-green eyes. She had on black slides that matched her black beaded necklace. Her hair was thick and wavy, and fell right below her shoulders.
  The car screeched to a stop. The driver, Marc, turned around and said, "We're here!" All four girls grabbed their duffels and hopped out of the car. Makenzie and Emily had soccer tryouts and Jessica and Sarah had cheerleading tryouts after school.
  Girls that were in seventh grade with them last year swarmed around. They were like celebrities. A couple girls who had just moved to New York asked a "fan" who they were. "Only the most popular girls here. Everyone at our girls only school wants to be their friend. Even guys at the boys only school want to hang out with them," the "fan" answered. Then, the school bell rand and the girls crowded the halls.
  The school year, with all its drama and excitement, had begun.
