Which type of photoshop is the best? XD

Now, I just ordered a new compy -- now for the next thing, to get a good program and EASIER than Gimp because I have NO idea how to work it. Photoshop I find easier because I've used it before.

Well, I've been leaning toward photoshop 7.0, I've used it before and I'm used to it. I'm not really looking toward photoshop elements, yes, it may be cheap, but I'm pretty sure it's more for photography. Not so much making scenes and such. Well, that's what I'm getting photoshop for - not photography, because I can do that any day in a different photoshop other than elements.

So yeah, I've used 7.0, and I like it, and I find it VERY easy and packed a lot with it. I'm using my newspaper route money to buy it, so yeah. I'm not really saving for anything, but I don't exactly want to spend all my money, because I may only have the route for the rest of the summer. (*cough* because my manager happens to be an idiot *cough*)

So yeah, my manager is an idiot, and will only let me keep it for the summer, not going into details, you want to know about my paper route then PM me. I'm gonna send out a note to all the people on my route to call up him and tell him to have me keep the route IF they like me. Anyways..

So yeah. that's the situation I'm in -- I can't use too much because I need to put some "away", and I may not keep my paper route for beyond the summer. (not because i dont do it right..XD)

Anyways, what would you suggest?

I'm going to look around for a good photoshop on Friday after or before I take pictures of the bridge for my photography thread. I found a cheap price on a site, and Photoshop 7.0 is only 150.00. I'd go for it, but my mom wants to do "shopping elsewhere". That's because 7.0 is kinda old, they have photoshop 9.0 now I believe. Which the prices for that were through the roof. XD

Well the only ones I've tried were Elements and CS2.

We use Elements at school, it's really really awesome. I tried CS2 at my dad's since he has it and it's awesome as well. I like both, so yeah.

Those are the two I would suggest going for. ;P
My dad might let me install CS2 on my laptop, so I might fool around with it this weekend and tell you if it's any good or not, since I really only used it once. XD

I haven't tried my Photoshop yet, and it's supposed to be awesome. It's Photoshop Elements 5.0, and it came with Premiere Elements 3.0.

Photoshop's are all basically the same thing in the art area, since their mainly aimed for photography type things.

I've looked into all the different Photoshop's a lot lately, since I needed to decide on one for my birthday.

For price, go for one of the Elements versions. They're priced fairly.

For the best art experiance, go for CS3. It's incredibally expensive, but it's aimed towards artists.

But what I'm doing, is getting a Wacom tablet, which comes with Elements 3.0 all in a bundle for the same price as Elements 5.0 would have cost.

I'd reccomend starting with something cheap, than if you really like Photoshop, upgrade to a different version.

Check out http://www.adobe.com/ for information on the Photoshop family. ;P

http://www.apple.com for reviews on it. (My Dad found reviews on the Wacom tablet and Photoshop on the Apple webpage, being that we have an Apple computer)

If you need to know anything, PM me. xD I've been looking into PS for quite a long time. :D

When I was on CompUSA to buy Photoshop, I originally wanted CS2. But, when I saw it, it was at $700. I almost fainted. XD

So I suggest you get a lower version, like Elements. I have Elements 5.0 and it's A.W.E.S.O.M.E. I love it! :)

But it's up to you.

I was playing with my Grandma's Elements (2.0) today. Wasn't that amazing, but then, I only had 2 minutes before it crashed. :D XD

M'hmm. It's pretty dang pricey, but they're the one's aimed towards artistic peoples. A lot of people on Deviant have CS2. :B
