Thanks. I need a long shutter speed for most of those. (Not really long, but probably a bit under 1 second. To get that soft yellowish look, I put the white balance on sunny, even though it is tungsten lighting.

I don't' use the flash; I just open the windows or turn on the light or whatnot to brighten up the room. ^^ What do you mean about the dot? There's a dot in your pictures, or an orange light on your camera comes on before taking the picture?
