Windows Vista Transformation Pack

All right, more advice. I'm sure we've all seen Windows Vista, no matter how sucky  it may be, but the interface is awesome? (if you don't think so, don't post.) Well. You can transform your XP's interface to look like Vista by using http://rapidshare.com/files/73249318/vtp8.rar.

It's called VISTA TRANSFORMATION Pack. Well, I want it. It's not illegal.

But, nowadays, I'm PARANOID about viruses. And my brother will slap me if something happens to my PC.

Advice? Any of you have it/wanna try it first? To see if it's fine?

Thanks for your help. It's really appreciated. Trust me.

Yes it's legal. My brother uses it, supposedly it's better than Windows... I'm not switching though D:

Of course! Do you even know the purpose of Linux?! >:0 It's an open-source OS made for people who are tired of Windows and don't want to shell out any money for Mac OS X.

It's mostly known as a nerd OS. My dad uses it :D

Before I try and get a Mac I'm going to install Linux on this computer and dual-boot with it. Linux and OS X are supposed to be very similar (they're both based on UNIX. Wiki it).

Your parents should educate themselves about it first. :O There are different "flavors" of Linux, too. There's straight-up Linux, and since it's open-source, people are allowed to edit it however they please. So you've got some people making Ubuntu (the most popular version), or openSUSE, and some others making RedHat. You'd be surprised at the amount of people willing to spend time working on it.

And if you're iffy about open-source, well, Firefox is open-source ;D

Oh, and Linux is almost invincible, virus-wise. So few people use it that virus-makers don't even bother with it. I think Linux's market share of OS useage hovers around 1%.
