Basically I'll start out by saying, I love Harry Potter. I've been reading the books since I was like 8 or 9 years old. (before they made the movies, they had books? oh my gosh!!!!!!!!) As far as a review goes:
Name: Harry Potter Author: J.K. Rowling Type: Series Plot: Harry Potter is a series about a young boy who learns that he is a Wizard. He lives with his Aunt, Uncle, and Cousin, and has been told his parents were killed in a car accident. When in truth, they were killed by a dark Wizard who tried to kill him as well, but failed. Harry has been accepted into HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY. This explains all the strange things that have happened to Harry as a boy, but brings up more questions without answers. Who was it that killed his parents, and why? And why didn't he die along with them? Through the series, Harry learns about his magic, his family, and himself. He makes friends, and foes along the way. Harry Potter, the boy who lived, must learn to truly live, and love in this wonderful, adventure.
Thoughts on the series: I absolutely love the series. All of the books are great in their own ways.
Anyone have any comments, or questions about the series? What about the last book? Who's finished the series? What did you think about it? Awesome! I read up to book 3 and read half of book 4, but I dunno, then I just stopped. XD I may have just been confused, I started reading them in third grade, so I may have not fully understood it. ;D But awesome review dood. {;

Nice review. :D I've heard that these books have a very strong none-christian message and my Mom doesnt want me reading them, but I'd be allowed to if I wanted. I'm not a magic person though, so I doubt I'd like it. Any gory-ness?
Collar: Thank you! Same here, I read the 1st one a LONG time ago, and had to read it again a couple years later to understand it. Try it again, see if you get it.

Ngal: I don't believe in "witchcraft" either, but it's not any different than the Warriors series, really. I mean they don't believe in God, and have a "heaven" of their own. But as long as you know that's fake, it's all that matters. Harry Potter is entirely fictional, and it's meant to be portrayed as such. If I'm not mistaken, J.K. Rowling is a Christian herself. (not saying for sure though, i don't know) But as you know, my dad's a Preacher, and he's read all the Harry Potter books. LMAO xD He loves them. So does my mom. My mom says as long as I realize that it's all fictional, there's nothing wrong with reading it. And no, there's no gore, really. People get killed, but it's not like "and then blood burst from his head, and his brain fell out". LMAO XD It's not ridiculous, it's just, I'll use the Warriors again as a reference, it's like when a character dies in the Warriors series. They just die, and you cry, and it's over. XD No gorey details. As for the movies, there's blood, but again, it's not like ridiculous amounts. If someone gets cut, they bleed. No one gets their guts ripped out or anything. :P It's a good series. I reccomend it to anyone, unless it's offencive to you. It's just made-up fun. I read a biography about Rowling, and she based alot of the story on games she used to play with her neighbors the "Potters". They'd pretend to be wizards, and things. Who hasn't? XD Anyway, I should try getting online at a decent hour cause it's 1:45 AM, and I'm tired, so I need to stop typing. :D NIGHT

Edit 2: Before you go out an buy it, Ngal, there ARE a few curse words. But not like..the "f" word or anything. If you'd like an example, IM me on MSN. They aren't like...BAD, but you never know what might offend someone. Just wanted to let you know in case you read it, and are like "o.O" XD And there aren't that many, I could probably count the amount of curse words that are in all 7 books on my fingers. Ooo, I LOVE Harry Potter. I read the first 3 books a long time ago, quit, then started reading them again in about August, but started all over.. And I have one thing to say about it, my mom told me that she heard somewhere that someone said that there mgiht actually be another Harry Potter book. I don't beleive it, but you never know, it's prolly just some false rumor...or something...XD
