Okay, I've been thinking a lot lately-- Should I go to Middle School this fall?
Lots of kids go there (dur) and have a ton of friends and are socialized, and sometimes even smarter then homeschoolers (no offence)
But on the other hand, they are called some of the worst names I've heard, very tough, and going through weird stages.
A lot of kids that age are homeschooled though it's so bad...
I want to know from your opinion; whether you've heard about it, go to it, or have gone to it before...What did/do you think? Should I go? Or should I stay homeschooled?

..it's your decision? Why ask us? It's your choice.
I go to high school, it's not THAT bad. It used to be bad for me, but now, whatever. XD I have not even 2 months left, so yeah. You get used to it, trust me.
I sometimes wish I had gone to school, lack of real friends & such. I think your at a good age to jump in if you felt like it. Keep in mind that they won't be teaching creation, and your faith will be pushed upon. The school atmosphere isn't really a good one to "look up on," you know? I'd stick to homeschool, but that's just me. :p

QFT. I'd love to be home schooled, but I'm too far ahead academically, and my mom said there's no way she'd be able to do it. If you're going to a Christian school, go right ahead, but if it's public, I wouldn't if I were you. It's uber hard and stressful to deal with all the evolution crap while still maintaining a good grade. Middle School didn't have too too much evolution, but High School has tons. I doubled up on Sciences this year and took Biology as well as my ninth grade science, and although I love biology, I'm starting to dread going in there every day because of all the evolution. And although there wasn't much in my school, the amount of exposure to evolution in Middle School might be much higher in your district. And they teach it like it's an absolutely positively true, proven fact. And unless you have some Christian friends that go to that school that you can hang out with and such, you're going to be hearing a lot of things that you're not going to want to be hearing, keep in mind. And I know, because I don't know of one other Christian who goes to my school. ^^
Cheerful much? Keep in mind, that's my opinion, though. In the end, it's still your choice, so think long and hard about this.
Well, i've never been to public school, i've just been homeschooled. (but now i'm going to a prep school for homeschoolers only) All of the middle schools here in florida are horrible, even the best rated ones. I would stay homeschooled, because you have more freedom, kinda. I mean, if your stuck on something, you can practice it and stay on it untill you get it, instead of moving on with the rest of class. And you don't have to deal with all the drama going on, like maybe fights, or bullies, things like that. I also have to agree with Rotty. But, of course, thats just my opinion. Its your choice. ;)
And homeschooling doesn't have anything to do with how socialized you are or how many friends you have, all that just depends on personality. :]

Yeah, evolution and dinosuars ruling the earth and stuff are kinda forced. One time the answer to a problem at school was 666, and I didn't want to answer it. But I had to.
Well, I'm thinking of going to a christian school, but they spank you if you do something bad, and you have to wear uniforms, and it's just.......strange and strict. The friend thing is a good idea too, but I don't want to go around asking people what school they go to, bc I don't have too many friends. Most of them go to a christian school anyway

And your parents. Mine are pretty protective so I can't go anywhere and "make friends", but then again even if I could go places on my own, I wouldn't go up to a random guy and ask them to be my friend. Knowing my town, the answer will probably be "k wanna see a dead body?". In public schools you know who these people are and what they're like, so you can make friends without getting mugged.
I agree with all of the other things you say though, good points.
A_L, it depends on the school really. If it's a good school I'd go for it. Having friends is nice and all, just don't let it get in the way. Only thing I hate about (good) public schools is that students think, especially in highschool, that everything is about dating. In public school you most likely have more subjects. I just have math, writing (whatever that's supposed to really teach me D:) and reading, which involves a bit of history but that's about it. No nerdy-kid subjects like science, geography or whatever; public schools have stuff. Homeschool doesn't have as much, so when I get to college I'm probably going to have a "WTF" look all over my face.
However homeschool has less distractions. Distractions... but less distractions. But like I said, don't let the friendships and whatever get in the way of it.
Just my gallon of milk. LOL GET IT XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Well, next year I'm going to high school and I've been through all of my middle school. (I'm giving you my point of view as the "Girl-Who-Was-Officially-Dubbed-A-Loser-But-Still-Has-Other-Loser-Friends-Too."
Let me tell you, if you decide at my age, "HEY I'M GUNNA GO TO HIGH SCHOOL BYE GUIZ" it won't work. Middle school is really where you learn to define yourself and gather a group of friends that will stick with you through high school. (Unfortunately one of them WON'T be going to high school with me...Spazzy get an aging machine! plz. D:)
It's really an awkward, yet important, thing you have to do. It helps you learn that the world is not hunky dory, and that you may not be accepted by every person who sees your face.
I'm through middle school, and I've now accepted that my life is fine, I like complaining, and that I'm weird and proud. Now, I don't have to worry about high school socially. Well, not as much anyway.
Just go. The worst that happens is....
I dunno. Nothing that's really THAT horrible can really happen. You sort of have to try for that to happen.

I didn't go to Middle School and I'm fine. I live in such a place where there isn't Middle School, you go straight from elementary school in grade 6, into high school in grade 7 up into grade 11 [yes, only 11 grades].
