I'm not sure which one to buy. Kids at my school say Zune is better, but Ipods are cool too. Plus I have a 50 dollar iTunes gift card that I won at my church...

-You can easily get music off of iTunes and put it right on your iPod. -iTunes > everything and is only compatible with iPods. -They're reliable. I couldn't tell you how a Zune is... but I've had an iPod Nano (my old one) for three years, and has even been in the washing machine and still works great. I've had my newer Nano since Christmas and it's been working well. -If you're more into accessories and stuff, I'd say get an iPod because for any other MP3 player..accessories aren't as popular, I know this from experience. XD When I had my old MP3 I couldn't get accessories, it was all iPod iPod iPod. haha -Click wheel, easy to select what song you want. -It has games, which are very awesome. I have Guitar Hero [Phase] on mine..it's cool. XD They have lots of games at the iTunes store, they're quite fun. -Long battery life, the new ones last over 24 hours, which is great for vacations and long trips if you go on those a lot. :P -Really easy to use. Just plug it into your computer, upload music from iTunes on it and there ya go. -You can store videos, podcasts, pictures, and more on them. Quite cool. :]
I know people who have Zunes and who have had Zunes AND Ipods, and their Zunes are so much better and more worth it. But yeah, just addin that in there.

If you have a $50 iTunes card, go with an iPod. They are pricey, but the refurbished ones are great deals. Mine has a little nitch under the screen, which was bound to happen anyways. XD iTunes has a great selection of just SO much, it's really great. The games are fun, I really enjoy my video podcasts (man vs. wild, mythbusters, skillet), it's basically a little computer. I've read reviews, talked to people, and I ended up going with an iPod for iTunes, and the fact that I could get more GB's for a better deal then a Zune.
Don't get me wrong though, Zune's are amazing little devices as well, my Mom had one and I loved that too. XD
I haate my iPod, but I'll live with it. Its a stupid shuffle, there never anything for it, or there is, and it major expensive. For instance, when the charger for it died, I couldn't find a new one for a while because the only chargers most places had, were chargers for all other iPods.
So if you get an iPod, get anything other than a shuffle.
I also heard that the battery power on Zunes is horrible, but I'm not to sure if its true.
