My dad got mad when I was doing it late at night because he could see it from his bedroom :(

Yeah, that's the problem. We don't have any backdrops or anything. Not even a black blanket. x_X And if I dim the flash power, you don't see as much of the airplane either (it was either at 1/64th or 1/128th, which gives you an idea of its power).

No, during Halloween my family just buys a pizza and rents a movie. :P
