Earlier there was some frost on the ground, which gave me some photo ops.

Blind-fire. No viewfinder, just point and go pew pew pew. I guess I lucked out on the focus.
Blind fire here too! Yay!
And here's some other random stuff.
Cupcakes at a Christmas lunch (ISO 800, yum yum)
LOOK IT'S A RAINBOW.
THE POT OF GOLD MUST BE IN THE CHIMNEY
Oh, and here's a cat that was sitting on our wall. ISO 800.

Been playing around with the nifty fifty (50mm f/1.8) lens, it's a great deal of IQ for the price. Autofocus could be better, though.
Getting pictures of Chip is way easier now because I've got four more stops of light to work with than I'm used to. Higher shutter speeds mean I can catch really random stuff. Like her tongue.

I hate how this photo has such fail white balance. It was on Tungsten WB, just like all of the other ones.
Here's a random statue at a shopping mall.
And the product of major boredom.

I forgot to post these, they're maybe a month or two old. Freeway light painting! Light painting is to me as droplets are to Psy :3
Favorites go first.

I set the GIMP jpeg quality to 100% yet it still saved the curved lines all choppily. Weird. It showed up like that in GIMP so I know it wasn't PB.
This one reminds me of electricity.
I love how this one all leads to the center of the frame. (No we weren't moving backwards, I started the exposure when some lights were far away. The large, unfocused green streak in the center is a green light.)
I got this one printed in 8x10. I liked the urban-y look.
And I figured I should throw some other stuff up because lights are only entertaining for so long.
Red-tailed hawk with its third eyelid up.
I was in a moving car when I took this one lololol
'Till next time folks. I've got some really good stuff saved up in my Photobucket that should be up at the next update.
I love the cupcakes best personally, it has a very homey look about it. Good lighting, the white balance is nice and warm, (i've had problems with kitchen lights) and it's just an over-all great photo. Lovely pictures. :)
shanks guise. The frost ones were shot at ISO 200 and I was getting a lot of shaky ones, but that one turned out (thankfully).
@Ngal: the lights weren't excessively warm but they were just a tinge, so they looked pretty good on AWB (I looked after taking a few shots and decided to leave it on auto). The lights were also bright enough where I could stop it down from 1600 to 800. Usually, whenever I'm indoors I have to use ISO 1600.
