That really sucks. I am in denial though, since I don't even like FINGERPRINTS on my DS Lite, but I will still be very aware. I take very good care of it. I never drop it, I always wrap it in a soft scarf when I take it somewhere so that it doesn't get scratched or damaged easily. I also don't snap it backwards and don't experiment with any of the parts. I'm always careful opening my DS, as I don't just flip it off. Anyways, I hope this happens to no one else and I'm going to keep doing the same thing I do every day. Thanks for the update!

That's why I took the two year guarantee at Best Buy.

If anything goes wrong, they pick it up and send me a new one, to replace it.
And I have a one year guarantee with Nintendo.

I also had a one year guarantee with Nintendo but apparently it didn't cover physical damaged.Although 31 dollars were taken of the 81 dollar price.NOA_SHaun said that I should call Nintendo Customer Service to set it up so that it would be free.

Too late for me! =D

it has a crack on the...right side.....lol yes i had to check

and i just realize the r and l buttons mean left and right! xD sloowwwww pc...slowwwwww

@ iwn: i got the twon year warrenty too...thank god..my lite is really getting beaten up..but i don't wanna take it back so meh :p

Same for mine...i hate when it's dirty. buit it cracked...its not noticable though, and i dont mind cause it hasn't affected my ds. i dropped it on tile for crying out loud! they are pretty durable. And my old one was blue going on silver..then paint was coming off and im not kidding :P
