Helpful for people who just got Gimp and don't exactly know what to do with it. =)
QFT. I remember seeing this when I first got Gimp and it became like my god. :o
XD Same.
Now I'm more.."advanced" I guess you can say? xD
I just gotta learn how to do C4D's, and I think I'll be all set for Gimp.
Actually, nope. :P GIMP isn't as simple as people think; You can actually do 3D art in GIMP and it's VERY realistic looking if you do it right, and it's very hard. There's alot more besides that too. :P Very hard though, it's pretty much beyond expert level. I'm still ways off.
thanks! =D and i dont really understand how to do advanced borders. I understand making a new layer and stroking it, but when you said to change it to white and stroke it again, i got lost. =P I dont understand how to change it to white

In the main GIMP window (The window with all the tools) there's 2 squares under the tools, one black and one white - The one on the top is the foreground, the other the background colow. Just double-click the black one and select white, stroke the border again, then switch back to Black (lol rime) and do it again. :P
This makes me sound VERRRY stupid, but what the heck is a threshold?
Eh, if you don't know what it means just consider it a setting. You change the threshold of the Magic Wand tool in the main GIMP window, when that tool is selected. (Press Z)
