Gah. I know how you feel.
I remember losing Amber this past summer. But she came back.

If you took really good care of Ebony, she'd come back, because she'll know where her house is. Don't give up hope, I'm sure she'l come back. Just keep looking, and go out on your street and shake her favorite toy or her treats. :]
