Chap 1 -- What it is like
It was a normal day for the family of dogs in NJ -- the usual stuff went on, waking up, eating breakfast, and of course, not forgetting, the usual greet by Agnes and Clark. Once the family of dogs were awake and alive, they began the usual things they do when they dont know what else they could -- Exploring. All the dogs loved to explore the forest that was behind their house, which also had 5 acres of land, with many wonders all around it. First, there was the abandoned mobile home someone had left there. Of course it wasnt fit for anyone to live in it with all its mold and the fact that most of it was decaying, besides, it was tiny. Once the dogs had seen a 50-foot long one, and this one only seemed about 10 or so. A little farther on walking, you could see a pond with tadpoles and such living in it. Then, all the rest is wilderness. All giant timber make a maze for the rest of the way, and its easy to get lost. There are wild animals around there. Possums, bears, deer, and much more. Sometimes they go to their summer home in upstate NY, where the timber wolves roam around searching for their next meal. Of course, they dont do much wondering up there, so that way they wont run into a hungry wolf in the woods. Then, they might go down toward the city more and sometimes visit someone they know there, and sometimes around October or the beginning of September, there are wild turkeys. Thats what its like around where they live everyday.
Chap 2 -- The day begins t was a normal day for the family of dogs in NJ -- the usual stuff went on, waking up, eating breakfast, and of course, not forgetting, the usual greet by Agnes and Clark. Once the family of dogs were awake and alive, they began the usual things they do when they dont know what else they could -- Exploring. It was around June, and they knew theyd be heading up to the summer home soon. They knew when they would, when Agnes started having bags all over her house, same with Clark. So, until they saw they saw the bags they did their usual routine of exploring. Demon, the father of Blizzard, nudged him to wake up. Until he had nudged him so many times he was getting tired of it, he finally just barked to wake him up. Blizzard jumped, he didnt expect Demon to do that so sudden. When Demon and Blizzard finally stopped the groaning and growling, they all went on their way into the forest. They all knew it well enough to know their way out of it. Demons feet were getting tired, so he just gave a bark meaning, Hey, guys, can I have a second to rest? to alert everyone he was resting for a second. Stella, the mother of Blizzard and his siblings, waited. Once everybody was rested and ready, they played in the leaves, and tackled each other until it was so late it was getting pitch black. They saw big, glowing eyes in the bushes, and big black claws that looked like needles. They didnt know what to do, to either run, face off the predator, or hide from it. It was 5 to 1 , the other dogs that lived with them were home, they didnt like the forest as much as they did, but would that be enough to face off this huge creature, or even enough room to hide?
Chapter 3 -- Face off, hide, or run? They had no idea what to do. They were caught in the middle and they knew it. Demon seemed to sense that it was too late to escape now, the predator had its eyes on them good, watching their every move by staring at them. They did not move at all. They were lost in their own confusion. The predator made its move. The move that they had been dreading. Demon was the most strong and fastest out of all, and basically the leader. He decided to make a run for it, then, if the animal, which was a bear, caught up, theyd fight him off. His claws the most frightening of all, and it was pouring rain, thunder boomed, and lightning struck the dark, damp, forest. The worst possible thing couldve happened at that very moment. A tree was on fire from the lightning. It was spreading throughout the entire forest. Stella panicked. Demon acted perfectly calm, cool, and relaxed. He had to figure out a way to get out.
They hadnt realized an unknown pup was inside the forest at the time they were. They had escaped, but the unknown puppy was still in there. Demon ran to get Agnes, but how would he let her know the woods were on fire? He cant talk. So, what he did was scratched on the door, yelped, cried, and so loud it sounded like a scream. Agnes finally came out, trying to calm him down, Whoa there, easy fella, easy! Demon ran toward the smoke, Agnes followed, not knowing what he was running toward. Once she got the message Demon successfully got to her, she called the fire department. Once the fire was out, Demon went in to look at what it had done. There was rubbish everywhere. All around, the trees were collapsed; the leaves and branches were all over the ground. Then, he saw a furry body, he didnt know what it was, so he went in for a better view, not too close, though, incase the animal was dangerous. The animal was the unknown puppy, his face with shock, and concern. He had no idea what he shouldve done. He barked for Stella, who got Agnes. Agnes face had a shocked, sad look on her face at the same time.
Chapter 4 -- Alive, or not alive. The puppy laid there, still. It didnt move at all. Agnes looked it over, and she saw the pup was burned, and had biting marks. The pup didnt move at all while Agnes looked over. Agnes told us to walk home with her. All of us obeyed. Demons wolf side was showing, he was howling as the rest of us walked. He stayed at the end of the line out of us. He walked slower than us. I dont know what Demon meant by this, you have to remember, hes part wolf. He acts mysterious at times, this is one of those times. When we were home, Agnes called the vet immediately. She was frantic, hoping to save the pups life, if it was still alive. The other question was, which dog would Agnes go with. One of the dogs wanted to go, since they all couldnt. She wanted to bring Blizzard along. Blizzard jumped in the car, and they drove off. In the car, Blizzard watched the puppy to see if it showed any signs of life. There was none during the ride. Blizzard got out with his tail down, not up and perky like it usually is. The reason why Agnes chose to bring Blizz with her is because he needed a shot. When they were called to see the vet, he greeted Blizzard, and said to him, Well well well, I see youre here for a visit as well! Blizzard was puzzled by this. He had thought he was just coming with Agnes. He then stayed by the door, but the vet coaxed him with a treat to get on table. He then got his shot, and got another treat. The vet then went toward the puppy. Well, I did not expect this little animal to come in. He said, looking at the puppy. What happened? Agnes started, There was a fire in the woods in back of our house, and once the fire was over, one of the dogs, Demon, found him. I couldnt believe it. The vet had absorbed every word she said, and said, Well, he had a concussion, which is why hes asleep, and then it turned into a coma. It could be a while before he wakes up. Could be days even, so well keep him here until we can see how he acts and such, and run tests. Thank you. Agnes walked out, with Blizzard, and Blizzard was happy the pup was alive, but would he stay alive was the question. Blizzard went home, and the other dogs could tell he was happy, and sad, at the same time. They wanted to know what had happened. Once they were told, they decided theyd go into the woods. They just wandered around, just looking around while walking. Blizzard decided to run over to the vet and see the puppy. He always wondered what breed it was. It looked like a mixed breed. The vet wondered why he was there by himself, and had called Agnes to come get him. He didnt want to go home, he wanted to see the puppy. But he couldnt, since the vet nor Agnes knew why he went there. Lucky for him, Agnes asked to see the puppy, so he did get to see it. It was still asleep, but it was alive. Maybe I ask you a question? Agnes asked. Why sure. Is this puppy male or female? Agnes asked. Female. Hows he been doing? Agnes wondered. Shes been doing OK, but not great and not exactly horrible either.
Chap 5 - Stay or go? And, oh, theres going to be a plot change - The dog they found is FEMALE.
The day the puppy was able to have a home, Agnes didnt know whether to keep or give the puppy to someone else. She already had enough to handle with a farm, and dogs. Blizzard was up to keep her, but hes always friendly. Demon, on the other hand, would take time to welcome him. Demon was always protective. They awaited for the final answer a couple days, day and night.
What Agnes was going to do is give the puppy to Clark - Yes, Demon was Clarks and Stella was Agnes, but Demon didnt really stay with him. So, she figured she would give the pup to Clark. The pup was a Shetland Sheepdog mix, with the shape of a Sheltie, and the hair of a Shepherd, but yet still a little shaggy as a regular Sheltie would be. Agnes decided on the name, and her name was Missy. It took a while for Missy to become not very shy. She was smaller than the huskies, so she played with Shiloh the beagle. Shiloh welcomed her, and they liked to play. But Blizzard always seemed to jump into the game, and when he did she was more shy. But, she eventually got used to him, but she was still afraid of Demon. Demon never really spoke to her, and she thought he hated her. She treated Demon with a lot of respect when she saw him, she didnt want him to dislike her more. She actually wanted to become friends with Demon, but was too scared to try and approach him.
One day, she decided to try and become his friend. He was 4 and she was only 1 or 2 years old, but shed tried anyway. She quietly approached him, and he looked over a her. She sat down to show him she wasnt there to harm him. He walked over and sniffed her face and paws. Then, he lifted he head and looked at her circling her slowly. Missy was beginning to be scared, but then he stopped, and walked away. When he was about ten feet away, he barked at her to go to him. She trotted to him, and then looked into his blue eyes. Demon gave sort of a nod. Then, he and her walked back. She wasnt really sure if they were friends or not - possibly acquaintances. He seemed very quiet and mysterious, not making known very much about himself. Missy sort of admired him and his mysteriousness. She watched him as he trotted out into the darkness, back to the barn. She followed after seeing him leave.
omgs WHAT IS HAPPENINNNGGG IM UPDATING!!!!!! anyways...
Chapter 6 - Heck breaks loose, but, what exactly?
Missy the Sheltie had followed Demon into the barn, and they slept there together, huddled. The next morning, Clark came in, and took Missy from the huddle. Demon took this the wrong way - he wanted Missy to stay. He thought he was being hostile by picking up Missy as fast he did, he growled. He wanted Missy there. There was anger in his eyes, and his long, shaggy hair stood up. Clark just stood there, looking at him. He began walking toward the door, trying to do so when Demon wasn't looking. He wanted Missy to be indoor, unlike Demon and Stella and the rest. He wanted her to be a regular dog, to be taken to the park, and walked. No. Demon wouldn't accept that, he began moving in on Clark as he moved for the door, then, Clark ran. Demon followed. He toppled over Clark, let Missy free, and went back for him. By the time he let Missy free, he was already running toward his house. Agnes tried speaking to Clark about letting Missy outside, but he wouldn't do it and it eventually turned into a fight. Clark was leaving. He went to take Missy with his bags while Demon was sleeping - Demon immeadiately woke up, and guarded Missy. Clark knew from the last experience with Demon that he didn't trust him. So, he left Missy, and every other dog. He went into his pickup with his bags, and that was the last of Clark. Afterward, Missy showed no signs of missing him - and Demon didn't either, not shockingly. Demon liked to hang out with Missy, she was a fun playmate. He let Agnes pick her up and carry her in, because he knew that she'd be back. She'd be back with all her little toys that they played with, and tug-of-war. Demon was glad he never saw Clark again - he hated him. Demon liked to run, so he'd run around and have Missy try to catch up. Of course, after that they'd be tired, so they slept in the barn afterward. And, it was a long night of sleeping for them.
