Your pictures of the ugliest flowers in the world are MUCH MUCH MUCH better than my pictures of the ugliest flowers in the world. I love the first one, and the second, and the third, oh and all of them. :D
I didn't have my camera most of this week (long story) and he comes and sits in the yard EVERY SINGLE DAY for about ten minutes at a time. I get my camera back, no birdy. But then he came back. :] ...obviously... But he only stayed for a minute or two. :[
Thanks! It really means a lot. I have more uploading from my camera, and then I have to sort through them and upload them to Webshots, so I'll probably post them tomorrow.
If you have even an inkling of an idea of what htis is, please let me know! IT's larger than a House Sparrow, but smaller than a Robin.
Surveying the Area
What was that?!
This isn't a great photo, but it has an interesting story behind it. First of all, this was taken the day after quite a large thunderstorm. The young bird in the past few photos could fly, (I saw him go from branch to branch) but he still had that chick-like look. Suddenly, a female Chipping Sparrow flew up to his perch and fed him! Now, I don't know what he is, but he certainly isn't a little Chippy. And he's almost twice the size of this mothering sparrow. I wonder if perhaps he was lost in the storm and "adopted," so to speak, by this Chippy. I just thought it was very neat and wanted to share it. :)
