Whats your favorite dog breed?6675.gif

Mine is German short-haired pointer, and they'd never be my favorite breed if I'd never had one. Once you have a certain breed you get to KNOW it, so I know everything about these dogs and their loving personality. You can't really understand the value of the breed if you've never had it ya know? But it can still be your favorite breedbiggrin

I dunno. I like chihuahuas, huskys, Chinese, and Japanese breeds. =P

..everyone knows this, but I'll say it anyways. And everyone will probably hate me for saying that my favorite breed is in fact the Husky.

Why? I own two..but that's not the full reason why I really love them so much. I love them for their good-natured personality, for the loving dog that they are. These dogs wouldn't hurt a fly, hence why they aren't good guard dogs.
I love the way they "talk". When you come home from a long day, to hear your Husky howling when you come home makes you so much better. xD

I also love the appearance, but a lot of people do only like them for that aspect. I don't, I like the breed for..everything really, especially personality.

If you've never had one, you seriously cannot judge one. You don't know what a Husky is like until you've owned one, trust me, I know. They're just very different than any other breed, and that's why I love them. And that's why a lot of them end up getting abandoned and abused, because people have NO idea what they're in for.
It sucks, but most of the shelter dogs are Husky mixes.

I just didn't want everyone to get on my case because I love a certain breed of dog that most people don't exactly like.

Exactly! My point on, you will never KNOW the dog breed fully unless you have one. When you have a Husky for example you get to know the real dog and personality.

That's why I never understood why so many people hated me for liking Huskies when they never owned one themselves.

Labs..there so beautiful, friendly, and active

there are many downsides to tehm, but they are my absolute favorite breed
