The only dogs that do not shed fur that I know of are Poodles and 2nd West Highland Terrier. Yes, JRT's shed. Dogs with smooth coats shed more then others.

 Yes. As mentioned, smooth-coated dogs shed more then others most of the time.

I dunno, I'm not a scientist. :P But that's what people say. And I remember Hannah used to shed alot more then my other dogs and she's smooth-coated.

 

Jack Russells DO shed fur. I own one.

And a lot.

They shed fur between summer, and then grow it again by winter.
