As most of you know (or none of you ) I might be getting a dog. We went to the kennel to look at them. And they were adorable. We loved them! We went home to think about which one we wanted. I wanted them both! But then some of my family memebers started asking, "Are you sure itsn't a puppy mill?" We said we didn't know it doesn't seem like one. Then we went home and we searched on puppy mills. These horrible pictures came up, and one kinda looked like the kennel's cages. Also the kennel had boxes that were facing the other direction and I could here barking through them. I don't know I am kinda scared, because what if the kennel was a puppy mill? Does anyone else know anymore information about puppy mills just post on here but please no pictures I don't like to see them. Thanks From a Loving future dog owner or Nintendogluver9623

Well normally puppy mills are places where dogs are bred a lot to make lots and lots of puppies and the puppies end up being "not well" (couldn't think of a better word), and so they just get abandoned or abused. Same with the parents of the puppies. They're being bred so much that they get really sick and stuff, so the people in charge of the puppy mills just abuse them. [I think anyway, that's what I've been told]
So the shelter is most likely not a puppy mill.. I don't think shelters can be puppy mills. Maybe you're just mistaking that the shelter picked up the abandoned dogs from a puppy mill and tried to save them?
Otherwise I really don't know. I hope I did help a little bit though.
