Not trying to sound rude, but why does everyone go nuts when they go back to school? The only answers I get are things about friends, but that doesn't really make sense to me. (What I mean is, school is about learning, not socialization. Or that's what being homeschooled taught me.) Any other reasons?
*Homeschooled geekynerd who knows nothing about public school and doesn't understand why people go "OHMYGOD O__________O!!!!" when they go back to school*
But on topic, nothing interesting to say here on a friendship note. But oddly, I skipped a grade this year, and on my previous grade I got about 3-5 questions wrong every day... 2 grades ahead, I now get everything correct. Spooky.
Figured that. But I've been told that's not all there is to it which is why I asked. :p
WHAT OTHER ONES ARE THERE >:(
That's basically it. :P Nothing else really unless you like people having secret crushes on you and acting like someone who liked me and drama and annoying human beings. :)
I only freak about it kinda 'cause I dont want summer to end, considering this year I have a teacher whom I hate, and I hate my class. :D

Because public school is a lot different than home-schooling. like. you actually have to socialize there. And of couse I can't do that because I don't have any friends. So that's why I was sorta nervous about going back. Seeing the same people as last year. Because I felt awkward that I didn't..have anyone to hang out with and talk to.
It kinda sucks. :\ but hopefully I'll meet some people soon..

Why do you need to socialize there? :p
As you can probably tell, homeschool IS alot different, and it's different for every homeschooler. In my house I have to teach myself (I get almost no help unless I'm absolutely stumped) while in others, parents guide you through it the whole time (like kindergarten). And there's no socialization for me but there probably is for some other homeschoolers. I can't walk down my hallway and have some guy say "hay how yew duin wana b frneds????" like in public school. I'm fine with it though.
But good luck. My only suggestion, if you can't think of anything else, is to act funny.. Just walk up to a random person and say "HI WANNA BE FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!!1 =DDDDDDDDDD". It's how I got half my friends here :) I'm not one for creepy talk. (Such as "uhhhhmm hiiiiii u n mi hav leik evryfin in komon wana b frendsssssssssssss he he"). Plus, notice how most people your age act like that to be funny? Yeah, they like it. But if not, and they just answer "Uh... Sure... just.. dont hurt me... o-o" then you can make it up to them later.

i was raised by robots
I'm...not quite sure. I wish we didn't have to. XD
Yeah, I kinda figured it'd be different than public school knowing you don't have teachers and everything.
Thanks. :) And I guess I can try that. XD It'll be hard.. but it's kinda something I have to make myself do. Because if not, I will need to go for help. And graduation (..o.o) won't be as fun without friends. :p
Sorry Psy but I must say your school assumptions seem a little naive D:
Pretty much the only reason to have to be excited about going back is friends. You get to have lunch with 'em, play pranks, just talk, or whatever. What fun would school be without socializing? Sure, school is there for learning but that doesn't mean you HAVE to learn and can't do anything else. It's school. There has to be some 'fun' part of it somewhere.
It's also nice to know some people are going through the same hel- erm, heck you are.
