It's not closed forever, it's a UPDATE. A huge update, and they can't do it with thousands of people posting on their forums every 2 minutes, so it's gonna be down for awhile.

They said they're closing indefinitely. Indefinitely means...
"To an indefinite extent; for an indefinite time"
May be awhile, but not forever. He never said they're deleting our accounts (If they did that, all subscribers to Nintendo Power Magazine would be lost. Think they'd risk their millions of dollars for a update?).

Oh, yes I see. I thought the forums were closed forever. Andy said "While their future remains uncertain, in the interim we invite our fans to build on the spirit of community by starting their own Nintendo discussion sites." I thought that meant like good luck finding somewhere else to go. Although he evens says that the fate is uncertain.

Thanks Psy, for clearing that up. This just brightened up my day. I knew the message Andy gave was too cheerful to be a definate goodbye. biggrin

GOD this has been the WORST day.

I'm not even going to go into detail, it won't help.

And I just found out the worst thing.

My best friend from Nsider, one of the few things keeping me tied there, has left. Permenately. He took advantage this hiatus to get off of Nsider, which he is more addicted to than me. D:

And now, as of tomorrow morning, I'm banned from the computer for sitting in my room, blasting music, reading, and crying from my crappy day, instead of doing my homework, which is "no-sympathy" style homework. That is, unless my crappy debate skills pull through somehow...Doubt it.

So there you have it, crappy day, crappy everything. My summer was bad on my scale, and now I have school again, and these freaking teachers have no mercy. Yay.

I think most of you guys don't really care as much (not pointing fingers, just saying in general) that NSider is closing because you guys weren't there for the glory days.

As of today I've got about 3 and a half years at NSider so it means a lot to me. I registered in 2004, and 2004-2005 was one of the best times evar. It began to degrade and was in the middle of that process when you guys came along, so you guys never saw the chat threads or the RPs (the RPs were my life). I met a huge bunch of friends there (one of whom I consider to be one of my best friends, and I still talk to her today). It means a lot to me that it's gone.

And no warning either. Just look at Power On. Just... poof. *sigh*

The only signs and warnings we got was the downgrading of CH, the long hiatus of Sages being inducted, and the cancellation of Ask Andy...and we never imagined this would happen. Hopefully they are just upgrading NSider.
