ya
the next time u get a camera just git a SLR
one like the D40 (or the Canon Rebel if you're lucky enough to find it cheap) costs about as much as a higher end point'n'shoot, and will last you way longer, so there's really no reason not to if you're gonna upgrade.

itz expensive if you want a full setup though, I think my dad just spent about $650 on all of this when the camera itself was only about $470.

I tried doing another HDR with only 3 RAWs and tried to get the same effects, now I can see how severe the ghosting was.

I hate ghosting but I don't seem to mind it in the other pic.

Wow, in comparison the 2nd picture looks much better.

Also PC, if you're going to shop for an SLR ask me about it. I can provide a pretty convincing argument for the Rebel. ;) Psy, where'd your dad get all of the stuff from? I wonder if he got a good deal.

And I can provide a convincing argument for the Nikon :D

He got a good deal. <_<
He got a bundle pack from Newegg with all the stuff except the book, filters and remote - those three were on Amazon. We were looking at filters when we finally found some decent ones, and there was a "bundle" with those filters and the remote for cheap so we went with that. On Newegg I think the tripod came free, but woulda normally cost $30.

i did anothr
I'm likely to do nothing but HDR's until next week when I get my Nikon....... then I'll do better HDR's. :D

I put zeero effort into this one. Turns out Photomatrix saves all the previous settings from the last HDR I did, so I just used the same ones as the previous.

If you want a comparison to the actual lighting, here's one of the original unedited RAWs:

I'm likin HDR's. It turns normal bland photos into something cool.

ohz and heres a detail comparison

You can see a board just under the roof of the house that's invisible in the first.
