It really depends, 8mp cameras range.
You can have one with tons of zoom that will be $300.
You'll have cheap good ones, for less too.

Poloriods, I have heard are not good cameras. :P Read reviews, on Amazon I've found the best reviews. ^^

Like Sara said, it depends.

And people need to stop gaging a camera by megapixels. Just because it has a high MP count does not mean it's a fantastic camera.

The Rebel I have has 8 megapixels. That doesn't mean it's the same as a Kodak c875. People need to look at other parts of the camera.

megapixels mean how big you can blow it up. what you want on a camera is a small f-stop (2.4), a pretty fast shutter (1/1000) and yeah.

I don't think anyone on here understands cameras. ;-;

megapixels mean how big you can blow it up. what you want on a camera is a small f-stop (2.4), a pretty fast shutter (1/1000) and yeah.

Don't forget the ISO setting. ;o Cameras now have up to what, 3200? The Rebel XT goes from 200-1600. I don't think you really need more than 1600 anyways.

Right on, I've been thinking that too.

If you want a camera with massive megapixels you should get one of those bulky ones and not a slim one. :p We'd need to know more about the camera before we can say if it's good or not, but its your opinion that matters; we don't own the camera, you do.
