And people need to stop gaging a camera by megapixels. Just because it has a high MP count does not mean it's a fantastic camera.
The Rebel I have has 8 megapixels. That doesn't mean it's the same as a Kodak c875. People need to look at other parts of the camera. ___________________________________________________________ thats true XD my dad has a rebel, and i have a c875. it's majorly different then mine XD mega pixels dont mean anything...i think i can even change the megapixel setting on my camera XD
like it's been pointed out...some cameras with 8mp are really crappy...it all depends on everything sara pointed out. like the zoom and the brand...ISO, shutter, all that jazz heh heh..i like that phrase XD
You'd have to research it, but like others have said, it's not just the megapixels. Like Sara said, you can just blow it up more and/or crop it without losing too much quality. More megapixels doesn't mean better quality. In fact, cameras with a very high amount of megapixels are sometimes worse because the more pixels on a camera's sensor, the more tightly packed together they'll be. This can mean more noise, purple fringing, etc.
(Sorry if someone already stated that. I didn't read the whole thread yet.)
