As far as I know, my mom is going to look up what it says to do if your dog reacts to the chemical we think it is. Before we take him to the vet (I think) we're going to put a warm wash cloth over the scab and hopefully it will suck out the pus. (That's what it did for my infection on my hip in 2nd grade)
Okay. 1. This is totally fine posting here on a dog fourm. 2. If it is possible, find a different vet. I mean, if they seriously don't allow treatment with something, that is neglect to their duties to being a vet. If you have a bad vibe with them, I would beg to change. Like, when we adopted Butters and Gracie, We drove out to this nasty, broken-down vet. When we were getting them in or whatever for getting spayed and neutered, the person at the desk said:
"So, Buttercup, a Black and White Coonhound, in for being spayed?" We said it was Butters and Gracie were getting spayed and neutered and she said:
"Sorry, the computer says Buttercup, and the computer is always right." She didn't even look at the dogs!!!! We changed to a much better vet. Now Butters continous ear infections are going away. Moral of the story...
No matter what, get him to the vet. I know it's hard to convince your parents sometimes (For 5 months, my sister and I begged to get paw stuff for Butters. (He eats them and makes them bleed.) It took 5 months because our parents said no and said things like 'He has allergies' and 'Put him to sleep, it costs less' (and, my parents are complete jokers, so some stuff are sarcastic and I kick my dad when he goes to far) so, get that dog to the vet and trust me, there will be some medicine out there that solves all his problems, I'm sure.
Dog odors/urine/ect has a tendency towards chemical reactions. o.0
NEVER use bleach to clean up dog urine, it makes a toxic odor that almost sent my Dad to the hospital. (Note: It may not be bleach, I'm not quite sure. >.>)
