1. I don't see anything wrong with this board. The obvious spam gets deleted right away, and the whole "what are you listening to" thread isn't hurting anyone. Is it, really?

2. This is a little off-topic, but i don't really don't understand the whole opinion thing. There's NOTHING wrong with posting your opinion. Example? This thread. There is nothing wrong with this thread. [well yet, who knows if a flame will break out or not]. But I don't get why would you say "ohmahgash it's mah opinyun git ovar it". Opinions are opinions, but why would you WANT to delibritely say something rude, or hurtful to or about someone? Sure, it's your opinion, but keep it to yourself if it's rude. And the exact same people who say "shaddap it's mai opinion :|" are the ones who post at the bottom of their threads "plz no rude commentz". So obviously they know what a rude comment apllies to.

3. I don't honestly get why anyone would want to get rid of pupparazzi. It's what makes the NKC the NKC. It's been here with us since the beginning. [the 1st nkc]. If we get rid of it, I don't really see a need for me to stay here. It's not a "threat" as i'm sure some people will see it as that. It's just so. I come here because I love my dogs, and I like talking to people about my dogs, and posting updates and pictures. If I just wanted to randomly talk to people, i'd go to MSN. Which i do. I'm only one user. What's one user, lost right? But I can guarenttee the NKC will lose a whole lot more than just me, if pupparazzi goes. As far as the favoritism thing goes; it's not all boiled down to favoritism. If you REALLY look, i think you'll see past that one. People post, when pictures are posted. No matter what you say, no one's going to post twice to the same batch of pictures. What are they going to say? "oh cute pictures once again!" I doubt it. The people who post pictures every day, or even every other day, are the ones with the huge threads. End of story. I'll give you an example. I post pictures in holly's thread almost every day. If not every day, every 2 or 3. I can't remember a time i went longer than a week without pictures. And when I did, it was because I was sick, or on vacation. She has around 50 pages. [too lazy to look]. Dixie and Lucy's threads on the on the other hand, I don't post in so often. Maybe once every week or so. I think I've gone 2-3 weeks without posting before. Dixie has around 10 pages. Favoritism? I don't think so. I WILL agree that I was one of the 1st people to post my dog on here, and she still has about half of the pages of some other users, but you know what, oh well. I post pictures because I love my dogs. Taking pictures of them, and posting them is something I love to do. I could be doing alot of other things, but I'm not. So I don't see who's really getting hurt here. I also think the idea of merging Pupparazzi with Photography is stupid. Half the people who post dog pictures, have NO photographical ryme or reason whatsoever. They are just pictures. Alot of mine aren't photographical either. I wouldn't post a blurry picture [unless there was an explaination] in my photography thread. I post blurry pictures of my dogs all the time. Why? Because it's NOT about the photography. It's about the moment. It's about your dog. Big deal if it's blurry, or one of his ears are cut off in the picture. They don't have to be perfect. The old NKC had NOTHING to do with photography. And personally, i'm SICK of having my pictures critiqued by everyone. WHO GIVES A CRAP. Honestly? To those of you who say you like my photography, THANK YOU. I appreciate it more than words can say. But those of you who keep commenting about the lighting, or the quality, PLEASE get over it. Go critique my photography thread where i'll appreciate it. I know as soon as I post this, i'll regret it, because the feelings of you guys mean ALOT to me, and I hate being rude, but I'm just getting sick of it all. Sure, I guess I could leave. But I don't want to. I love you guys. I love this forum, and what it stands for. Because this forum is about friends. It was made so that the friendships made on Nsider, and the old NKC could still be here. But it's turned into SO much more than that. And i wish it hadn't.

I agree so much..I feel the same way. Call me stupid, retarded, an idiot, whatever you want, but to me, if Puparazzi was taken away, NKC wouldn't be NKC anymore. It'd be a whole different forum. Like Lauren said, it was with us since the beginning, the place where we all met, the place where all of this..started. And to take it away, you're hurting the majority of the NKC, and a lot of us are probably going to leave.
99% of the time I come here to post pictures of my dogs, and to talk about them, and it just wouldn't be the same if Pup was gone. And I am, too, sick of people critisizing my dog pictures. I don't do it for the photography, I do it to REMEMBER my dogs, to always have them with me. It's my passion, and I do it for fun because I enjoy it, not because I want them to look perfect all the time.

..oh. And to whoever said a lot of us are "favored", it's NOT our fault. All I did was post a thread, with my dogs' pictures. Do I control how many people reply? Do I control the amount of people who love my dog? Last time I checked, no. So it's not like we can HELP being favored. Really, we can't. Did I expect for my dogs and myself to be known all around NKC? Nope. I joined and posted Jake for fun, and all this "omgomgomg IWN" stuff started.
Not my fault. Like I said, I don't control who posts and who doesn't on my threads.

Yeah, it wans't really about Pupp. ;D But that's already been pointed out.

I belive that the favoring is not anybody's fault. it's just somewhat a shame in a way. Peronsally, I don't reply anywhere. I don't find it very fun to look at other's people's puppy pictures and say "OMG THATS SOOO CUTE OMG OMG OMG" It's just plain boring to me. I don't bother. But others do, and IWN, ITS NOT YOUR FAULT. ITS NOT ANYONE'S FAULT.
Nobody favors on purpose.

What is favoring exactly? It's quite basically only thinking of the people who are your bestest buddies, the ones who have great art skills, etc. Mostly teh friends thing though. What sucks is that new people don't get a chance.
I am probablly one of the least popular ppl on here. Somehow, I still feel barely noticed. Not as much as before, but still. >_>

What stinkz is all of the newcomers are soo freakin nice. And the ppl here are all like: "Oh, hi, welcome to teh forums!" And then they leave and forget about them for teh rest of their forum career. That is just...wierd. And we ALL DO IT. Humans are stupid people.

I'm getting very sick of favoring around here. Srsly. Some people's threads only get looked at, no matter what the topic, just because they're so called "popular".
Nobody can control popularity, and it's not fair, but I'm not pointing fingers becaus eit cannot be controlled.
But even so, it's about the stupidest thing that's ever been created.

No one says it's anyone's fault that people favore other threads. Sonic was referring to my thread getting moved down while the others were active; did I point the finger at IWN or anyone? No, I don't really mind. It doesn't surprise me that people are favoring other people, I've been aware that that's what NKC does for a long while now. About the Pupparazi thing, in my OPINION (I know I shouldn't say that, but it's getting awfully tense in this thread, yeah?) I think it's... Can't really think of a word for it, but what's the point in posting pictures of your dog every day and having the same people say the same thing every time? "Cute." "Thanks." "Heres more." "Cute. Thanks." I won't encourage or discourage the idea of deleting the board. I'm indifferent about it. If it goes, okay, if it doesn't then that's wonderful for us all. I'm terribly sorry for taking the time to give a respectful idea of merging Pupparazi with the Photography board. cry

To me that was a good idea, but if everyone's going to get all defensive about it then fine. BTW, isn't the board name "Pupparazi" a knock-off of "Paparazzi"? Let's have a look at what a paparazzi is, yes?

Huh. So taking pictures of celebrities is considered photography; well then, so is taking pictures of animals. And that is why I think it would fit fine as, at least, a sub-board in Photographer's Corner. With, of course, a new rule "DOENT KRITICIZE PIX" to prevent chaos. Again, discouraging the idea or encouraging? Neither. I don't care.

Funny that alot of these posts in here are sneakily directed at me... Now that this is all cleared up, let's turn the heat down shall we?
