Sega Genesis (old school man. I played that as a kid) Atari (YES we still have it. XD And I'm pretty sure it still works..) Super NES NES N64 Xbox (my brother's but eh I'm counting it) Xbox 360 (same as above ^) Playstation 2 Nintendo DS Nintendo DS Lite Gameboy Advance SP Nintendo Gamecube Gameboy Color
I think that's it. All I need is the Wii. And I'm thinking of adding it to my collection. Although I don't know if it'll be worth it..

I've had the Wii since it came out, and I've been a Nintendo fanboy for years, and I can still say, that in my personal opinion, the Wii is not worth it.
So, it has the News Channel, Weather Channel. Internet Channel. No one (Shouldn't, anyway.) buys a gaming system just for stuff like that.
I have about 12 games for my Wii. Wii Sports bored me within a week.
IMO, the only games (1st party) worth it are:
Zelda: TP Corruption Galaxy Pokemon battle Rev (If you're a Pokemon fan...and have 50 dollars to waste.) Super paper mario
Ya. The Wii's game selection, so far, sucks.
Oh, you're probably wondering (and, undoubtly, flipping) why I didn't put Brawl in my list. Well, I don't judge games by screenshots and videos. I don't judge a game until I play it, a book until I read it, a movie until I watch it....you get it by now.
This is my opinion, but overall, the Wii is not worth it if you have other things in mind to buy.
I don't wanna "urk" you Nintendo fans, but I prefer my Xbox 360.
Online is uber, game selection is uber, and I'm not usually crazy about graphics, but they're really good too.
^^^^ If you quote this post or respond to it in any way, do not answer that hatefully or at all, for that matter. I don't want to get into another "WII>PS3!!!!!11111111111111111111" type debate.

XD Thanks Sonic, I think that helped. My cousin has one, and I got bored of it and honestly went back to playing my DS. XD So I guess it's just not for me..besides, I like to sit down and play video games, not move around with a wii-mote and..yeah.

It's rebuttal time!
First off, a fatal flaw in your argument is "1st party only." Why first-party only? Does third-party have AIDS or something? Third-party may not be terrifically strong on Wii, but don't neglect it. The 360 relies on third-party and Halo. Admit it :P
Wii Sports lasted me for quite a while. I got pro in every sport, and even got past a skill level of 3,000 in boxing. Once you get to the champs in Baseball/Tennis, it'll offer you quite a challenge.
I only have four Wii games, and yet I use my Wii every day. The Internet Channel is a great addition, and I use it to check the Dojo updates in the morning. It's a great, functional browser that has a great bootup time.
You forgot another fundamental strength of the Wii: Virtual Console. I have four N64 games on my Wii (Star Fox 64, Paper Mario, Mario Kart 64, and Pokemon Snap). That adds a lot of value to the Wii. I got a 20-hour adventure out of Paper Mario for $10 (as opposed to a 20-hour, $50 Wii game). You can probably get a lot out of $5 NES games, too (Super Mario Bros. anyone?). I think VC is a great addition to the Wii.
Yes, the 360 has great online, but paying for it is a downside. I think Medal of Honor: Heroes 2's 32-person multiplayer sessions are a great first step for the Wii. Remember, this is Nintendo's first console-go at online. Give them a chance.
Overall, I think the Wii is worth the $250, and will become even more worth it throughout 2008. It's got some great games ahead in the future, and I think it's going to continue to succeed. Remember, the 360 has a better library partially because it had a year's headstart.

I didn't list 3rd Party because I was focusing on the 1st party games. They still pwn.
Xbox 360 doesn't rely on Halo, that's un true. Xbox 360 was out for 2 years without Halo 3 and sold like a dream. Paying isn't that big of a downside, only $50.00 a year. If someone can't come up with that, that's sad.
Nintendo's Online started with the DS and sucked. But that was hand-held. I am giving the Wii a chance. And that is Brawl. If Brawl's online sucks, then I'll cry. XD :P
I forgot about Virtual Console. Good point, my friend. lul;
Nice points there, and no offense with anything I said. I'm still a Wii fan, Nintendo fan. I wouldn't sell my Wii for anything.

Um, well, maybe not. But probably not.

Well, I said third-party and Halo. (Microsoft basically has no first-party games to speak of). And remember, the Wii "only has some good 1st party games", and it sold like an even BIGGER dream.
And $50=another game. Or 5 CDs. Or 3-5 DVDs. $50 is a good chunk of cash.
