Jake (my dog obviously) eats all natural food. No color, no artificial flavor, just safe, healthy, fresh ingredients. It's great. Also there's no preservatives in it either.
Honestly one of the best dog foods you can get. xD It's more expensive, but it's definitely worth it.

Exactly. Spending a little more money is completely worth it. We feed our dogs Nutro, and Innova. Innova is a special food you can only get at certain small chain petshops, or online. It's great, and is what people use in the show ring. It's more expencive, but worth it. We fed Holly purina for like 2 weeks once, and it's still sitting under our sink. In that small amount of time, you could easliy tell a difference in her coat, which is a reflection of health. Nutro's a great food as well, we use it when we can't get out to get Innova, and it's all natural as far as I know. Reccomended by most reputable breeders. Easily found at Petsmart, PetCo, Co-Op, Tractor Supply, etc. Nutro's not even that expencive, either, and much better than the cheap wal-mart brands. (No offence at all to people who buy food at wal-mart, we have before as well.) If it was you, would you pay more for the quality? Most likely.

Took the words right out of my mouth. XD Agreed 100%, if you can pay an extra $20 for the quality why not? It's better in the long run, and you can definitely tell there's a difference.
I remember when Jake was on..Iams smart puppy I believe, and then we switched him over to this food he's on now, which is the all natural stuff, and seriously, it makes a difference. You have to see it to believe it really.

Because in the wild, they'd eat the guts of deer and brains of ducks.
They don't care what they eat as long as it isn't disgusting tasting.
Paying $20.00 for dog food is crazy to me, and if you want a dog to have good food, make it yourself or check the ingredients.
Would a dog care if it had "extra flavor" or "dental care"? I want my dog to have good teeth, but why not just brush them?
Dogs are dogs, not humans, and don't really care what they eat unless they're spoiled. Lots of people can't afford to even pay $5.00 for dog food.
I think of mine as my babies, and want them to have the best care/health possible. Yes they're animals but I'm not gonna buy cheap crap dog food just because it's inexpensive to me.
I notice a difference in Jake on that food. He's happy, playful, and he has no health issues what-so-ever, same with my girls who are on Iams.
I always check the ingredients to make sure "Chicken" or any other meat product is first on the list to assure that my pets are getting the nutrition they need instead of the crap that they shouldn't be getting.
It does make a difference, and they do care. I find when I give them other brands of food, they won't even touch it.

Of course, healthy food> all. But, when things are over-priced, like I said, just make your dog food.
I, myslef, want some dog food that allows my dogs fur to grow long, smooth (it's wirely), and strong; as well as give her a better attitude (food can do that), body, weight, teeth, streangth (sp?), and all of that, but that food costs so much. And if her food now gives her energy, vitamins, and streangth, why not just stick to it if it doesn't cost as much?
I'm not an expert, I'm a 10 year old girl who looks rich, but gets stuff on sale or at goodwill, and doesn't want to waste a lot of money on dog food.

Gretchen better be thankful we've started making her food. >:| Mainly because she's been having some...problems that I won't go into detail about, but knowing what the heck she's eating is an added bonus. ^^
Alright. So what does anyone know about Nutro Natural Choice? I've decided to research it, but honestly don't know where to start. So I figure it wouldn't hurt to start here. I'd love to put both the dogs on something we make, but unfortunatly that's hard with how crazy my family's schedule is. >.

...that sounds familiar. I think that's what we feed to Jake?

..if it is, it's a great food. All natural. ^^
Good. :D CHECK. >:[ XD I read through what it said on the bag, and no "animal by-products", but for all I know it could be said as something else and I don't know about it. I don't know what "Copper Sulfate" is.
Mac's on that right now, but I have NO idea what Bo is on. It's definatly different, and I don't think it's as good either. It's cheaper I know, because Bo is a large dog..who eats a lot. So we go throw dog food a bit faster than Mac. :D XD

"In 1985, with the help of Dr. Sharon Machlik, they developed and introduced their MAX line of foods which made use of a chicken, lamb and rice formulation. Instead of traditional advertising, the company chose to produce large amounts of literature on the dietary needs of dogs and cats, with comparative information on their ingredients versus the ingredients of other brands, and provide this to their retailers, as a marketing tool."
Sounds healthy to me.
