Unfortunately our girl died...she had "Wet tail".
It's like diarrhea, but is caused from stress, and can kill a hamster if not treated.
We bought medecine for them last night, gave it to them, and before bed, we found our girl hamster, and she had passed away in her sleep. She was in her bed. We think she got sick because she was taken from her mom too soon. She was so much smaller than any of the other hamsters at the store, but we just thought they were adults. But now, I think she was just too young. And being away from her mom caused stress, which caused the wet tail. We named her Angel. She was so sweet...yesterday when we were holding her, she'd just sit in your hands, and look up at you. And then she'd curl up, and sleep in the palm of your hand. Even though her time with us was short, I'm going to miss her....I cried. But she's not suffering anymore, and that's all that matters... RIP Angel.

Her brother, Spencer (:B) is on medication, and hopefully will pull through. He's a strong little guy, and seems better already, this morning. I hope he'll be okay.

My sister's really upset about losing angel...her 1st hamster, Peaches, lived to be 4, when most hamsters only live to be 2 or 3. She was really attached to her. When peaches died, she didn't want another hamster, but it's been a couple years now, and she finally decided to get another one, and now she lost her. She was already attached to this one, too...but I told her I'd buy her another one. Last night she said she didn't want another one, but today she said, she wanted to go look at some, and if she saw one that she felt like she should get, she'd get one. Anyway, I'm making a video of angel, and I'll post it soon. Until then, here are some pictures of Spencer. :) They cheer me up, some.

Update: Spencer was fine this morning. Though I'm thinking more and more that he's possibly a girl...but not making a final judgement just yet, gonna wait 'til he's older. Annnd if he's a girl...er...XD I may or may not change his name. XD Anywayyyy, just want wanted to report that he's doing okay, and his water (aka medecine-had to dissolve pills in his water) is close to halfway gone, so I know he's drinking it, and it's gotta be in his system, so that's good. Plus something I was told on a hamster forum was to change his food to dry oatmeal 'til he's better, which i've done.so hopefully he'll be better in no time. keep your fingers crossed for mah bayaby. ;-;
