RIP Dewy (It's official...)

Yep, that's right. We're putting Dewy, my 10 year old Maine Coon Cat, to sleep as of this Wednesday.

And I feel so horrible....Because I'm not that sad.

Dewy
Dewy

She's a diabetic, and was diagnosed probably a little under a year ago. We also recently found out her diabetes has given her kidney problems, and she pees all over our house. She doesn't really remember how to groom herself, so her entire body is covered in hair balls.

Other than that she's quite the lively cat, she jumps on our laps sometimes, she jumps on our table to eat our food (CONSTANTLY. >_>) and purrs. She's lost some sense of touch and sometimes when we walk around her she mistakes the vibrations for petting her and purrs. She falls a lot when she tries to jump on things, and she shows obvious signs of her feet and joints hurting her.

I feel bad, such a lively cat, that's so dead, coming to such an untimely death.

RE: RIP Dewy (3/12/08)

AWWWWW. I feel SO bad. Dewy isn't the best cat in the world, but I am sad when any animal (especially one I know) and Dewy was cute.

P.S. Does this mean me and Ani can't go "*hech hech* DEWY! NO!"

*grabs newspaper and dives out of chair* DEWY! NO!

Good times, XD

Well...I dunno. We should celebrate her life.

Now we can't offer her to new friends, either. DX

(HEY FANI YOU WANT A CAT THAT HAS NO MEDICAL PROBLEMS AND TOTALLY DOESN'T EAT YOUR FOOD AND THROW UP ALL OVER THE PLACE?)

XD

@Ngal: Thanks. :)

Thanks.

My dad just told me this was his conversation with the vet:

Vet: After we put her down on Wednesday, do you want the ash-

Dad: NO.

Vet: You sure you don't want the ashes?

Dad: NO. N-O.

My dad is nice. :)

Did your dad mean, you didn't want Dewy to be cremated, or he just didn't want the ashes?
