Did you sharpen those first two? The detail is absolutly incredible. Great backlighting on the second, and for the first good use of harsh/limited light, but nothing is completly whited or blacked out.
ty ty. It was kinda weird bending into a weird angle to get behind the leaf.
For both the first shot and the second shot, no sharpening. For the first one, just some cloning, no dodging/burning. And as for detail, can you believe that it's ISO 800?
No editing at all for the second. I don't have the lens hood so I cupped my hands over the lens and the colors really popped. They're good flowers to use backlighting on. ISO 200, if you were wondering.
We had some rain which provided some really nice shots.
Spoiler
I like how you can see the reflections in that one.
I wish I could've gotten the droplet to stand out more here.
I'm too lazy to get rid of the dead flower.
sup doods
I've been pretty busy lately so I'll just throw up a random assortment of stuff, k? Just letting you know, the better pictures are on the bottom. The earlier ones suck.
First off is a red-tailed hawk stomping on a rat.
Spoiler
Then eating it :(
Bad angle yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I wasn't planning to post these but I don't have much stuff so I might as well. We can hook up our camera to our telescope (there's an EF mount for it), but it's very dim, something like f/15 and manual focusing sucks. It's something like 1,800mm, though.
'sup hummingbird. It's shaky because when you're shooting at 1/125 at 1,800mm, it happens. :( We didn't have our remote cable. ISO 800 btw. look at that sexy noise control.
Taken with the nifty fifty. I don't like you very much, Mr. President. Stopped down at f/2.8, where it's actually very, very sharp. If you can stop the nifty fifty down it'll perform quite well.
Hello downtown.
I think I forgot to post this one.
And I really really like this one, easily one of my favorites thus far. I dialed in -2/3 EV to make the flower's colors stand out more.

Those are outstanding, the clarity blows me away. Great DOF use, this one is my favorite. https://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f230/lock22/IMG34662_resized.png Fantastic pictures.
