SP's up for some Juno Awards tomorrow. The Junos are basically the Canadian Grammys, so YEAH! They're up for best Canadian band, and best album! I'm hoping they win at least one, they're up against some pretty unknown people and they've won a lot of awards like this in the past, so I have hope. :D And plus, they're performing! I'm really excited to see if they're gonna perform their latest single, No Love. It's been playing like crazy on the radio here.
So I'm really excited. :)
And now they've stopped touring for good, so I think they're gonna go back to writing songs and prepping for the fourth (whoa) album until the summer, when they're hopefully gonna have their summer tour! Also I've heard of a new full length DVD being released sometime after touring which is now, and we haven't had a new one since 2003 (we've had DVDs, but only 20 minute ones, not an actual movie), so that gets me extremely excited!
I also edited the front page bio thing, and I'm gonna add a news section for..news. I like doing this, haha.

Well...the Junos were effing disappointing. Not one award for them. I feel kinda bad... to know how hard they worked to change their sound on the new album and not win one award? Augh. I'll stop ranting now. They did an amazing performance of Your Love Is A Lie though. Other than that it wasn't great. Let's just say Canadian music has a lot of unknowns. But there were a few good people and whatever.
ohhh my god what a SHOW. Plenty of pictures and videos coming. 35,000 PEOPLE. I kid you not. That's what SP was saying. INTENSE.
So.. here's how it went down. It was 8:45. I started freaking out, as did the rest of the crowd. 15 minutes pass, it's 9:00...then 9:10. Still no sign of SP. I'm thinking wtf is going on, something's wrong that's not like them to be late! But just as I said that, the lights dimmed, and lights were flashing, and the very well known opening of Generation started. I was pretty close, even with a bunch of people in front of me. But somehow in the middle of the show I managed to get into second row (I think I like.. died). Except I had this creepy drunk guy slurring drunken...words not having anything to do with SP. Scarred for life I tell you! He was creepy. D:
ANYWAY. Their show was excellent. The best I've ever seen them. They did some new things I haven't seen before, they performed "Promise" which I've never seen live until now, Pierre did an acoustic version of "Crazy", David sang "Sexyback" and did a little bonus bass thing. It was hilarious.
The guys looked at me a lot, lmao. I have pictures of Pierre and David looking right at me, it was so awesome.
The setlist was (if I can even remember the order!):
-Generation -Take My Hand -Shut Up -Jump -When I'm Gone -Your Love Is A Lie -Me Against The World -Addicted -The End -Promise -St. Jean song (their improv, basically) -Medley (Right Round / Pokerface / Just Dance [it was funny, I have it on video]) -Time To Say Goodbye -Save You -Untitled -I'd Do Anything -Welcome To My Life -Crazy (acoustic) -I'm Just A Kid -Sexyback by David with his bass..thingy lmao -Perfect
I'm not sure that's the EXACT setlist, I'm surprised I can't remember the order, but I know for sure that's what they performed.
My feet are sore, my throat's sore, but holy crap, I wouldn't take it back for anything else in the entire world. It was well worth the $15 for all this. Even Seb said it was the best of the summer. So amazing. Wow.
