I'm not too surprised... She's been suffering alot. She can barely see (she has cateracts in both eyes, and I know what that's like; I had one too) which doesnt make her completely blind but it's really blurry. it's hard to identify anything - she trips on things alot. She also has very bad hearing now. She can't even eat regular dog food. We usually give her leftovers or just make her something, i recently had to make her scrambled eggs in the middle of the night just to feed her.
So I'm really sad she's going but I'm happy she won't suffer anymore. I can't imagine a better dog than Shadow - she never was a problem, protected the house (she chased a boar out of our backyard once), and was always nice to everyone she knew. She had a good 15 year run... at least she isn't dying in pain like Buster did.
I don't know what else to say. I'm not happy.

Aww dude I'm sorry to hear about this. Shadow seems like a great dog and a very pretty dog at that. I can't think of what to say. I knew this was gonna come up eventually, but even so, it's a sad scenario.
I'm very sorry to hear that, I know words really won't help that much. She really sounded like a fantastic pooch, I'm glad you got to love her for so long.
I'm sorry bfe....I can't imagine. I've never had this happen to me except when I was really really young and my dog wasn't even a year old, he got hit by a car, and had internal bleeding so we put him down, but I hardly remember it. RIP Shadow....
