Hey! I finally made an idea of what I'd start it as!!! It shall be long, happy, sorrowfull, and high exitement...So prepare for the journey of a lone female, to a clan leader, to more...! Here's Shengu's point of veiw...

RATED: PG-10
Because of the use of the word mate, and even mating in this story, but they are animals.(lolz I don't think most kids under 10 should see the word "mate")

The begginning takes place in Canada (Heehee IWN. ;]) But, since it was back then, this place was called: Jamaro Halkumi (wich in thier launguage means "Unforgotten Land")
The time of the begginning is December, 7th, YEAR UNKNOWN. But it was very far back in time.

The Great Clan: enter the canine world.
"Hi. I'm Shengu...Life wasn't so great for me, as a child my mother died and my father dissapeared. I had nobody to look after me as I was a lone child...Or atleast I think. I had a tough time finding food, I had to fish and hunt small animals, since I was recently weined. As I tried to find a place to live, I found out there were more wolves. I went to a small, small den. Just big enough for three adult wolves to live in. I slept there and it was tough living. One day I was out looking for something to eat, when a small sparrow came upon me. I tried to hunt it, but it was too fast. He got into a tree and said: "You think you can catch me? I am too fast. I'd much rather be your friend...But I don't believe you do." "Why? You are a bird! A wolf and a bird? Friends??" I said. "Yes, it's quite possible...Now, I must do something about you. Just...Go to your parents...OK?" "I don't have any..." "Oh, well in that case, I suppose I may teach you the ways of life out here...I guess. What is what and who is who." "Great!" From then on he taught me what certain animals were, and where streams and good hunting places were. We grew a great frindship. I was a teenager in no time. But, sadly, my friend had to leave. Mirgrating, I suppose. I had to fend for myself from then on. One day, hunting for deer, I heard something...I was guessing it was just another deer, or a racoon. That's when I met...Domain. He killed a deer, and saw me "Who are you? You're not in the clan." He said. "What clan???" "The Courlone Clan...Don't you even know?" "No..." "Oh...What clan do you hail from?" "I don't hail from one." "Idonthalefrumwon? I haven't heard of that clan! Haha!" "Haha, very funny." I said. "What's your name, anyway?" He said. "Shengu...Yours?" "Domain." Then stared at him and in lightning speed, I stole some of his kill and ran far away, back to my small den. And that's where I'm telling you this... I have to go to sleep now, so...Bye...Untill sunrise, that is."

And that's where the story takes off!
Chapter 1
'Mmmph...*yawwwn*' "Sure is pretty today..." Said Shengu looking at the blury grass, trees and rock. She lived where there was about 6 feet of grass infront of her den then a cliff-ish rock place. to the left was the woods, to the right was plain old grass. She got up to her feet and yawned. "Sure is lonely out here, I wonder where my bird friend is? Shouldn't he have come back? He wouldn't need to teach me anymore, but atleast I'd have someone to talk to but my self and that mysterious wolf...Wasn't his name Doman? Domain?" little did she know, Domain was just to the woods, lapping up water. *Splash* "What was that? Sounded like water...I wonder if a fish breakast is on my menu!" Shengu said excitedly. She stretched out her body and went into the woods, heading towards the stream only about 1/5 a mile away or less. There she found Domain. "What are you doing here, deer theif? *snicker* You think you're such a clever one, hmm?" He said. "Yes, I do. *giggle* But you're not that bad..." Shengu said. "Hey! I can prove to you I'm just as clever!...Infact, I think I'll prove I'm more than you!" said Domain. "Oh, you will?" "Yes." He said. "Then show me you're clever enough to catch me!!!" said Shengu as she ran away into the big field near the woods. (where the deer were) Domain quickly followed, knowing he wanted to be better and much more clever. "Haha!!! You'll never catch me!" They ran into more woods with a big hill. Shengu ran so fast, when she got to the hill, she started rolling down! Domain ran fast too, sliding on his belly and front paws out. Shengu quickly tried to get up, resulting in her sliding down on her seat, in a sitting, yet slatted back position. "Whoohoo!!!" Yelled Domain. "YEAH!!" Replied Shengu, as they raced each other down the hill. Shengu, heading straight for a tree had no clue what to do next.

She yelped just a few feet away from the tree, not knowing how to turn or stop. Domain quickly put his head down and went very fast, and turned sideways to push Shengu out of the way. It was successfull, but as soon as he pushed her, his foot hit the tree and got bruised and scratched and even sprained. He stayed there, at the side of the tree he hit, not knowing what to do, since his foot was sprained. Shengu was in Domain's old position sliding down the hill, but backwards! She tried to stop, but it didn't work, so finally, she jumped up and was on all fours, and stuggled to get up, with all the slippery leaves. When she got there, she walked side-by-side with domain, helpping him walk.When they got to the top, in the field, Domain layed on his side, not being able to stand. "Are you OK?" Asked Shengu "Are you?" He said quietly. "Yes..." "Then I'm OK too." Shengu was suprised and then smiled warmly, laying down beside him.THey layed there for a minute and Domain looked at his foot. "I know it must have hurt, thank you so much." Shengu said. "Your welcome, my lo-- I mean, Shengu." Shengu just smiled and licked his face. "All better! Haha" Said Domain. "I wish" he said. "You know what? I don't think you can make it back to your clan...But my den is just around the corner, past the woods." "Back There?!?!" "No, the other woods. The one you drank water at." She said. "Oh...OK" Domain said as he smiled. Shengu walked Domain to her den. "Man, this den is small...Only enough to fit two wolves and a few pu-- I mean three wolves...Sorry, I'm so messed up today..." Shengu just laghed and said "I know that you were going to say lovely... and pups...I don't mind..." then she smiled. "You...Don't?" "I want to tell you something, Domain." "Me too." Shengu said shyly: "I love you too, Domain." Domain looked into her beautiful eyes and said "Will you be my mate? I don't care about my old clan" "Yes!! Of course! I know you love me and you know I love you! I was waiting for you to ask!" So that night they slept and now each other was happy, and Shengu was definetly not lonely any longer.

Chapter 2
In the morning Shengu woke up, but not Domain. He was much too tired and his foot needed to heal. *tweeet* *tweet* "Wha...What was that?" Said Shengu. As she peeked out the den, up in the tree near her den was a nest...Two sparrows and thier babies. "Shengu?" Said the father. "Sparrow??? IT'S YOU!!!" "Yes, it is! I'm sorry I took so long to come back. Here, is my wife: Patunia. And my three children, Moe, Joe, and Josifina!" he said "And my husband Laurie is so sweet!" said Patunia "Your name is *giggle* LAURIE?!?!? Isn't that a girls name! Haha! You never told me your name!" Shengu said. "Patunia, I told you NOT to tell anybody my name!" Said Laurie. All the racket awoke Domain, who limped out to see what was happening. "What's up out here? A bunch a sparrows...Why do you talk to them instead of eat them?" Said Domain. All the birds scooted back a little. "The father bird was my best friend until you came along...He knows everything! I would never eat him, or his family!" Shengu said. Domain shook his head. "Oh, Laurie! My mate has sprained his foot, and it is also bruised and scratched. Do you know anything to help him?" "You have a MATE already?!?!?" Said Laurie. "Well, not exactly....Er...Well not yet but we will, it's already official." Said Shengu.

"Oh...My mate is more then official, haha! OK, anyway, *ahem* Yes, I do know of something to help your mate...A mix of huckleberries and...Ruby peices. The huckleberry is found everywhere here, but the ruby...One holds it around his neck. But he will not part with it unless he dies...And he loves it much." "Oh, I would never kill him...Only if he tried to kill me!" Shengu said. "It's okay, Shengu! My foot will heal in the most, a month." Domain said. "But Domain, you can't hunt, wich would make it hard on me and you sick, or even couldn't mate with me with a foot like that! I must!" Shengu said. "Oh Shengu...I wouldn't let you do that, and maybe even risk life." Domain said. "Then she will not. I WILL." Laurie said. "NO! LAURIE!!! YOU HAVE A WIFE AND CHILDREN!" Said Patunia. "Patunia...I will not live much longer anyways. I have passed all of my wisdom to you and the kids, and even then, I might not die." Laurie said. "Oh, Laurie! I couldn't let you do that!" Shengu said..."I will. I do not have a mate nor family. Or even any friends, everyone thinks I'm evil." Said a mysterious voice. Out stepped A black wolf with red eyes. "All I ever wanted to be was a hero...A friend...A mate to a wonderful girl, to have a family, to have friends, to have white fur...The reason anyone would think I was evil was by my fur and eyes...I have no life. My own mother didn't want me. My name is Demon, because my parents thought I was one sent as a curse to the other pups...But I was nice to them! I...I...*sniff* sorry, I don't think I should talk to much about myself to strangers." "Oh I wish I could help you! But I can't help you with finding a spouse...I am already together with Domain, and I know no other wolves...But I can help you with the friend part. You are so kind to go out and get the ruby and huckleberries." Shengu said. "And I can help you with your fur and eyes!" Said Laurie. "Come with me!" He said. Laurie left and Demon followed. A few minutes later Laurie came back with a SHINING white wolf behind him, with blue eyes as clear as the sea. "Demon?" Shengu said, suprised staring at the wolf she now thought was Handsome..."WOAH. Demon... You look better thn Dom--...Oops! I mean you look better than any other wolf I've ever seen!" She said. "Hey! Shengu...What do you mean?" Domain said sadly. Shengu was almost hypmotized by his new look. "I'm NOT Demon anymore...I'm Angel." "Oh...Angel...*stare drool*" Shengu said. "SHENGU!!! STOP! You love me and only me! Angel, please...Help me but do not let Shengu love you more than me." Domain said. "Shengu! The reason he's going to get the ruby and huckleberry is so that I can be healed and we can be mates!" He said.

"Oh...I'm so sorry Domain! My love, I'm so sorry!! Please, if there is anything I can do to say sorry!" Shengu said "To say you still love me and mean it!" Domain said. A tear fell to the ground. "I do love you Domain! More than any other wolf! Only my Lord is who I love more than you!" Shengu replied. "Oh thank you Shengu." Domain said. "I'll be leaving now" Said Angel as he left. "Good luck..." Domain said. "Well, I better go find some food for Moe, Joe, and Josifina." Said Laurie. "And I better get some sleep" Said Domain. "I'll guard the babies" Said Patunia. "And I'll stay watch for Angel." Shengu said. They were all busy with what they had to do, while Angel looked for the wolf who had the ruby. Deep in the woods, Angel heard something. A wolf jumped on him and fought. Only a little though. "Stop! I need something!" "Wha......Who are you? I'm sorry, I thought you were someone else." Said the stranger. "I'm Angel. I have come for that ruby." "You don't get it. I got this from my wife...Before she died." The stranger said, sad. "Oh...Sorry. How did she die?" Angel asked. "A wolf- which I thought was you who was evil." He replied. "Oh, I'm so sorry! But...This ruby...Do you know where she got it?" "Yes. Why do you want it so badly?" The stranger asked. "Well, some wolf has a broken leg. The only cure is huckleberries and ruby." Angel said. "Oh. Why is it that serious?" Angel explained everything. "That doesn't seem that serious. How much ruby do you need?" The stranger said. "I need as much as you can give me. What's your name anyway?" Angel said. "My name is Dan. There is some up in the highest mountain here and at the top. There will be many small rocks, and if you open them, there's ruby. Your name?" Dan said. "Angel. Thank you so much!" "Your welcome. Good luck, Angel!" Now it would seem silly that someone would do all this just for someone with a broken leg, but not only did that help Domain, he would have a better reputation and could see himself as a hero. Fortunatly, the mountain was very close. He climbed up, and fell many times, leaving him even more scarred. Once he reached the top, he grabbed a rock in his mouth and started down the mountain. Suddenly, he was sliding down top speed, zooming down the rocks. He was so bloody now it stung more than a a thousand bees. When he reached th bottom he barely, but did, made it to Domain and Shengu. "He's back! And he's...Oh my! He's injurred!" Shengu said. "I'm sorry, I couldn't get the berries." Angel said, in a weak, exhausted voice. "Thank You so much, Angel!" Domain said. "Your welcome." Angel said. "I'll get the huckleberries, no worries!" Shengu said. Angel smiled. Laurie healed the wounds on Angel. Shengu left and got the berries. And when she came back, Laurie crushed the ruby and huckleberries and put it on Domain's leg. After an hour, his leg was healed. "I'll be right back" Domain said, running off. He came back an hour later with a rabbit in his mouth. "This is for you, Angel. Stay over there near us at the other den. I will bring you food every day for what you have done." "Thank you" Angel said. He ate the rabbit. Later he went to the nearby den and selpt. Now Angel had friends and was a hero afterall. But he still didn't have a mate. But Domain was healed and Shengu and Domain had one more wolf in their small group, and they all went to sleep.

Chapter 3
Domain woke up suprisingly early that morning. The stars were still out in the sky, and he went out to catch food for Angel. He brought a rabbit back to Angel's den, where Angel was still asleep. He wouldn't dare wake up anyone, knowing the day before was tiring. So he sat next to his den, staring up into the sky. He thought, just for a second, he saw his mother, licking him and another pup. He went to the den to lie down, still looking at the unusually beautiful stars. He could then yet see his friends playing as teenagers. Then, in a split second it all dissapeared with an interrupting noise..."Domain?" Shengu said. "Yes, my love?" Domain replied. "I was just...Looking at the sky." He said. "Listen, I miss my family too. My mother died and father dissapeared. I never had any friends and I don't believe I had any siblings either." "I'm not even sure what happened to all my friends and family now. They could be dead, sick, worried, or anything. But I guess you had a worse life then me." Domain said. "It's almost like we have no family but each other." Shengu said, with a sad face yet grateful smile. Domain smiled back, getting up and laying beside her. "And you know what?" Shengu said. "What?" Domain said. "I'm ready...to...well...Have more family."

"Y...Yo...You mean...Uhhhh...Ummm...O...OK...!" Domain replied suprised. So that night, that magical night Domain and Shengu mated. As domain jumped off, Shengu said: "I'm now a mother...I'm so happy!" She said with a big smile, with her eyes closed. And the sun rose up and Domain came out to see if Laurie was awake. "Laurie? Laurie! Please, wake up so I can tell you something!" Laurie woke up and stood stretching his wings out and yawning saying: "Yes?" "Oh, Laurie! Me and Shengu are now mates!!!" Domain said wagging his tail. "Great, my boy! Let me tell you, you picked a lucky one!...Well, may I see her?" Laurie said. "Oh, yes! Shengu! Laurie wants to see you!" Domain yelled. "Did ya' hear the good news?" Shengu said, walking out of the den, sitting by Domain. "Oh, yes, I did! I'm so very happy for you! I'll be sure to tell Patunia and the chicks about the good news!" Laurie said. "And I'll tell Angel!" Said Domain. "What are some good names?" Shengu said, excitedly. "I like the boy names Ghoundo, Mark, Luke, and Domain Jr. Haha!" Domain said, laughing. "Haha, I like the girl names: Jakahni, Hannah, Lilly, and Miaka!" Shengu said. They all agreed they were all good names and Shengu layed back down in her den to rest, getting some sleep that was needed. So, Domain went to Angel, who was eating the rabbit. "Oh, thank you, Domain! But tomorrow, I do not want you to feed me. Now, what is it you came to tell me?" Angel said, excitedly. "Shengu's pregnant!!" Domain said, even more excited. "Oh, great! Most of my work is paid off now!" Angel said wagging his tail extremely fast. And so, as Domain came back he quietly crawled into the den to Shengu, awakening her. "What is it, Domay?" "Come out with me and close your eyes. And don't open them until I say so!" He said and walked her outside the den. he whispered to Laurie about something. Then he ran to Angel, telling him as well. Domain came back, with Angel and Laurie with his family at the edge of their nest. "You can open your eyes now!" Domain said. As Shengu openned her eyes, she heard: "SUPRISE!!!" They all yelled. The rest of the day they all congratulated Domain and Shengu, mostly Shengu though. And that night they went to sleep, and Shengu was pregnant and had more family, as well Domain had more family.

Chapter 4
When a few weeks had past in quite a boring way, Shengu was very pregnant by then... It was January, and it was cold, but thier new fur kept them warm. Shengu would be pregnant until March, the expected time of birth. As she woke up, she headed outside to get the most of the heat of the sun. Domain woke up an hour later, and sat next to Shengu. He turned his head away from the sun rising to Shengu. Shengu looked at him and smiled. "You know, Laurie said you were likely to give birth in March. That's 4 months, you know! It's 3 by now." Domain said, waking Laurie. "You know, I can tell how many puppies she will have by now. Not thier genders, but how many." Laurie said. Laurie was very smart. Infact, he was one of the smartest birds in the world, although he was just a Sparrow. "Oh, please do!" Shengu said, exitedly. Laurie flew down to Shengu and felt her belly. "Five. Five of them!" Domain became a little protective of his mate as Laurie touched her, but knew he was a trusted friend. Domain suddenly thought: 'Wow, my mate...Five puppies! I have to protect her and her pups. With my life. Woah. I never really noticed how much I care about them. I feel like it's my JOB to do so in protecting them.' It was his instinct, to protect them with his life. Then, he knew this family will survive with him.

He stood up and told Shengu that it was time for breatfast: "Well, Shengu. I think it's time for breakfast! Don't leave your pups hungry!" He said. "Oh, right! OK, bye Laurie!" She said. "Bye!" Laurie replied. So Domain and Shengu set out to catch breatfast. Domain, now feeling like he had to protect Shengu and her pups, he walked side-by-side, not letting her out of his sight. He stopped and told Shengu to sit down for a minute. He heard something. *crunch* went the leaves. He saw a figure moving amongst the trees. He stared closer, not seeing it anymore. Suddenly, behind him he heard a "Hi!" He jumped to the noise, now facing what made it, snarling and growling with his fur straight up. "Woah! Domain! Coooool it! It's me, Angel!!!" He said, jumping back a few feet. Domain still looked mad and sat down. Then he remembered what Angel had did for him. He looked sad and suprised saying: "Oh! Oh, no! I'm so sorry it's just that...I...Uhhmmm..." He sat down with his head down. "It's just that your protective over your mate? I understand. Especially now that she's pregnant, it's just your instinct." Angel said, forgivingly. "I'm sorry, Angel. You're right." Domain said. Shengu just sat there looking at the two, suprised. Domain noticed her staring and said "Sorry to scare you like that, my love. C'mon, let's go find breakfast!" He said. "I know a great hunting place! Just down the river, there's some bunnies." Angel said. "Thanks." Domain replied. So they headed down by the river, while Angel went to his den. Shengu stared at Domain. "You know, if that were to be a bear, you would've almost gave up your life...For me! Do you really love me that much?" Shengu said. "Of course, Shengu! You're my most loved thing but the Lord." Domain replied. They caught breakfast and headed back to thier den. That was really the only exitement for the next few weeks. Not too many animals lived in those parts. Just deer, wolves, and rabbits. But occassional visitors! So the rest of the day, they ate the rabbits down the stream for dinner. They went to sleep and Domain was willing to give his life for Shengu and her pups.

Chapter 5 PART 1
As the days and weeks went on it was Febraury. It was becoming warmer, with fllower buds and tree srouts and green grass appearing. It was beautiful there with trees turning green and snow melting. It was a month until Shengu's delivery, but something disruptred the beautiful calm peace. The skies were cloudy, dark, and full. A horrible wind was blowing new trees down and destoying some of the new plants. Lightning was crashing everywhere, destroying other trees and such. That storm was not just a storm. It was about to become a tornado. Every animal that lived there was terrified. They do not have basements or any safe rooms. They could do almost nothing. But Laurie new that there was a cave in the hill they lived on. But it was down that same hill Domain got hurt on. And it was closer to the tornado. But there was no time. It was either death or cave. Laurie told them. "There is a cave down at the bottom of the hill that is very deep and has much protection! I just don't know how to bring my children!" He had to yell for the wind was hard to hear through. "Well it's either that or our end! I can't let my or your family down!" Domain said, in his protective mode. "Tell me the way!" "It's down acroos the field into the woods! Just head down the hill until the end and there's the bottom of the ciff, the make a left!" Laurie yelled. Imidiately Domain headed out into the feild yelling for them to come. Patunia, starting to cry didn't know what to do about Moe, Joe, and Josifina. Shengu came up to her and said: "Put them under your wings and jump on me! You can trust me! It's the only way!" Patunia, scared, stared at her "There's no time! Hurry! You're children matter just as much as my own!" Shengu said. Patunia nodded and Shengu came up and the baby birds hopped on and Patunia jumped on as well. Laurie went off to bring Angel. Laurie stayed on Domain's back. Domain in the lead of them all stopped at the hill. "Slide on your belly! Shengu, you don't! Kneel and grab my tail with your paws!" Obeying his commands, They did so. Getting to the bottom they scurried and squirrmed into the cave. Shengu let them all of her back once they reached the back. Laurie jumped off immediately, and Patunia and Laurie went to start to take care of their babies. Shengu and Domain, layed next to each other while Angel, all alone, stayed in the corner. "Angel..." Domain said "You can lay with me and Shengu" Angel, suprised, went slowly to them. For the night, all they had to eat was the few bugs that flew in from the wind. For the rest of the night, it was believed they were the only mammals left in all of that land. They fell asleep but Shengu. You'd think it would be Domain, being so pretective, but no. But later Shengu had to get some rest too. They woke up to a little bit of rain and a still dark sky. But it was light gray, not black. Worried about their homes, they struggled back up the hill only to find two thirds of the trees left, barely any grass, and no animals. A few fish would have been lucky to be alive. The dens were okay, but the tree and nest Laurie and Patunia lived in was gone. Everything was a mess! What would they do, with no deer to hunt or fish to eat? Where would Laurie's family live? All the horror was right in front of them. They had to leave the land they called home, and find a new home. So down the hill again they went off into the deep woods that was below the land. So they went forth into the land they've never seen...To Be Contiued...
