Shanks you guys. Majority of them blurred, but that's the great one that I'm really proud of. It was good experience (and strengthened my want for a 50mm f/1.8...)
So, a praying mantis decided to hang out on our front door. The lighting was really good (just a sliver was getting through in most cases). Most of these shots were at -2 EV.
The detail in those are fantastic, and the lighting just makes them really spectucular. I love the last one, it's got a peaceful sense about it. Fantastic pictures, as always. :p
ty. It was hilarious how the mantis seemed to be bathing in the sliver of light that was getting through (a pillar was blocking most of it).
And the red-tailed hawk was there when we were going to my grandmother's house for Thanksgiving. I specifically asked my dad if there were any red-tailed hawks before I left, and if I should bring the telephoto lens. He said there weren't. :( I had to take it with the kit lens.
